ITINERARY | 10 DAYS:

JUNE 8 | START TOUR

Depart from Boise International Airport (BOI) to catch your flight to Berlin.  

JUNE 9 | USA - AMSTERDAM

Arrive in Amsterdam for the start of your Europe adventure! As you arrive in the capital of the Netherlands you’ll be picked up by your driver and transported to your beautiful hotel accommodation. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the city as you explore the beautiful historic buildings, one of the many lovely shops, and one of the many educational museums throughout the city. Our group will gather for a delicious welcome dinner at a local restaurant and will have a brief orientation for the program. After a long day of travel, return to your hotel accommodation and retire for the evening, ready for a new set of experiences in the morning!

JUNE 10 | AMSTERDAM

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise in Amsterdam. After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel accommodation, your private guide will meet you at your hotel accommodation to begin a guided tour of the City of Amsterdam. During this tour you will learn about the city’s rich history (WWII focused), the Jewish quarter, the formation of the red light district. After an educational history tour we will visit the famous Anne Frank House and some of the many museums in the city. After a full morning of visiting the many historic sights in the city center, the group will break for lunch before having a free afternoon to explore the city. Enjoy your time out exploring, but be sure to get enough rest for another full day of experiences tomorrow!

JUNE 11 | BERLIN

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel accommodation before the group sets off for Berlin. The journey will take a few hours to arrive. After the group arrives in Berlin, you will meet your tour director and check into hotel Guten. After breaking briefly for lunch, we will have a pleasant Berlin city walk with our guide visiting the public square of Bebelplatz, the Nikolai Quarter, and Museum Island. Enjoy a pleasant afternoon in the city and a relaxing evening at your hotel accommodation. Be sure to get out to try one of the favorite local eateries in the city for dinner!

JUNE 12 | BERLIN

After breakfast at your hotel we will have a pleasant guided sightseeing tour of Berlin visiting some of the prominent historical locations such as Checkpoint Charlie - the best-known Berlin Wall crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War, Potsdamer Platz (an important public square and major metro area), the historic Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag building, Victory Column, and the Checkpoint Charlie Museum and the Jewish Museum. With the many historic sights and locations to visit within Berlin, our group will likely only be able to visit a handful of them before our day comes to a close. Enjoy a relaxing evening and delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

JUNE 13 | BERLIN TO WARSAW

Today we depart the historic city of Berlin for the city of Warsaw. The journey by train will take several hours, so be sure to bring snacks and things to entertain yourself along the way. We will arrive in Warsaw in the late afternoon. Upon arrival in Warsaw you will check into your hotel accommodation, relax, before setting off to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

JUNE 14 | WARSAW

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel accommodation before setting off with the group to see the various Warsaw landmarks and sights. Our group will enjoy a guided tour of Warsaw visiting prominent historic sights from WWII including one of the oldest ghettos in the city. Our group will also stop in to visit the Museum of Warsaw Uprising in addition to the historic Jewish Institute Pawiak Prison. In the afternoon our group will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before enjoying free time in Warsaw.

JUNE 15 | WARSAW TO KRAKOW

After enjoying a great breakfast at your hotel accommodation, our group will bid farewell to Warsaw as we depart for Kraków. The trip from Warsaw to Krakow will take a couple of hours by train. Upon arrival we will transport to our hotel accommodation, have a brief moment to relax and get lunch before we start a guided tour of of Wawel Hill. Wawl Hill is a fortified architectural complex erected over many centuries and sits atop a limestone outcrop and was headquarters for Hans Frank (one of the Nazi military leaders). Our tour of Wawel hill will also include a visit to Wawel Castle & Cathedral, a medieval Market Square, Cloth Hall, St. Mary's Basilica, and the Jewish Quarter (note that some locations will depend on the group’s pacing / speed). Following a full day of touring we will enjoy a fabulous dinner at a local restaurant before retiring at our hotel accommodation.

JUNE 16 | KRAKOW

As we arise early in the morning we will have breakfast and the opportunity to explore many of the famous Kraków landmarks. One of the most historic places we will visit is Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial & Museum. Our museum visit will be a guided excursion during which we will learn about the historic events of the second world war. Following this solemn museum tour and experience we will break for the afternoon before having a traditional Polish dinner. After dinner we will retire at our hotel accommodation.

JUNE 17 | KRAKOW TO PRAGUE

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing Kraków for Prague. As we arrive in Prague, we will check into our hotel accommodation right outside the historic Old Town of Prague (a popular place to visit and tour). We will have a guided tour of Prague, visiting many historic locations such as the main square and Old town. During our tour we will visit the Charles Bridge, Mala Strana, Old Town Square, and the Jewish Quarter. After our tour of Prague we will have some free time and dinner at a delicious local establishment.

JUNE 18 | PRAGUE

After breakfast at our hotel, we will set out on a guided tour to visit many of the historic Prague landmarks we didn’t cover on yesterday’s tour. Our tour will include a visit to Hradcany (Prague Castle), St. Vitus Cathedral visit, and the KGB museum. Following our morning of touring we will break for a block of free time before coming together for a delicious departure dinner. Across our historic tour of WWII history, we will have created numerous memories and gained a deeper understanding of the unique circumstances of WWII. Please remember to pack your bags as we will be departing for home in the morning.

JUNE 19 | PRAGUE - USA

In the morning we will gather of belongings and depart for the airport (Group airport transfer). We hope you will have enjoyed the experiences and made lasting memories for years to come!
