Arrive: Liberia, Costa Rica International Airport Welcome to Costa Rica! We’ll arrive in Punta Islita, where we’ll acclimate to the altitude with an introductory lesson on Costa Rican history. After a relaxing first day in paradise, we’ll feast on a traditional welcome dinner as we learn about the country’s rich culture & delicious cuisine. Day 2: Canopy Zip-Lining Tour & Cooking Class

Fuel up with a hearty buffet breakfast to prepare for our adventure-packed day. We’ll have the chance to go on a canopy zip-lining tour through the jungle—an experience that’s pure exhilaration. Soaring over a tree-lined canyon while taking in all of the astonishing views is sure to be a highlight of the trip. After zip-lining, we’ll head back to the hotel for a hands-on Tico cooking class. Day 3: Explore Wildlife

Today we’ll focus on the region’s diverse wildlife. We’ll start the day with a monkey hike, hoping to spot the country’s many types of monkeys. Costa Rica’s rich, natural diversity is fascinating, and we’ll get to be a part of it all! Our guide will bring a spotting scope for a close-up look at these creatures. Did you know that howler monkeys are the loudest land animal? We’ll learn this and so much more on our unforgettable trek. After a nonstop day of adventure, relax with a sunset horseback riding tour. This is the perfect way to take in Costa Rica’s magnificent beaches and tropical forests—enjoy signature Guanacaste landscapes and spectacular views. Day 4: Beach Day & Turtle Experience

Enjoy a relaxing day unwinding at Los Cocos Beach Club and swimming in the sparkling, azure waters. As the sun sets, it’s time for sea-turtle watching—an unforgettable adventure no matter what age! Witness the captivating egg-laying ritual of endangered sea turtles at nearby Camaronal Beach. Our guide will use a special red light to avoid disturbance while we search for turtles peacefully emerging from the ocean. Day 5: Painting, Cocktail, or Keychain making Class

Let’s make the most of our last full day in Punta Islita. Enjoy a morning of good food and relaxation before your choice of activity, including beach painting, cocktail mixing classes, and keychain making, using the region’s seashells, pebbles, and unique seeds—a great souvenir to take home with you! In beach painting, give life to your canvas, taking inspiration from Hotel Punta Islita’s singular beach; the lush outcropping at the far end creates an iconic sight that’ll last in your memories for a lifetime. Spend four extra days away from the coastline, exploring the scenic hot springs, wildlife, and natural beauty in the interior of Costa Rica.
