Itinerary Overview
Day 1: Windhoek, Namibia
see details >
Arrival Airport: Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH)
Namibia is a land of geographical extremes that encompasses vast areas of inhospitable desert, towering mountain ranges, and unspoiled wilderness areas, home to elephants, rhinos, lions, giraffes, and a host of unique flora and fauna. To the west lies the Skeleton Coast, one of the most desolate shorelines in the world. In the extreme south, bordering South Africa, we find the dramatic, rocky mountain gorges of the Fish River Canyon; to the north by contrast, rich farmland alternates with sub-tropical forest and the mopane bush of the Etosha National Park.
On your first day in the country, you'll spend some time exploring Windhoek before settling down for dinner.

After eating breakfast in camp, you'll continue onwards to Swakopmund. With its palm-lined streets, seaside promenades, and fine accommodation for all budgets, Swakopmund is Namibia’s most popular holiday destination, and its pleasant summer climate and decent beaches attract surfers, anglers and beach lovers from all over Southern Africa.
You'll stop at a famous coffee shop for apple pie, then enjoy the afternoon as you explore the coastal town or try your hand at adventure sports on the sand dunes just outside the city.

Day 7: Sossusvlei, Namibia

Rise and shine! A pre-dawn start is essential this morning to catch the quiet splendor of a desert sunrise. There’ll be abundant landscape and wildlife photo opportunities in the morning breeze, with dawn’s soft light first illuminating the dunes from the crest down the back slope before blazing orange everywhere, creating a powerful contrasting scene across the whole desert. You’ll spend the morning in and around Sossusvlei, climbing the famed Dune 45.
After lunch, you will have free time to explore the camp. You may also add on a trip to Sesriem Canyon. Another stunning sunset in the vibrant desert, followed by a night under the shining stars of the Southern Hemisphere, is the ideal way to finish off the day.
