Arrival Airport: Malaga International Airport (AGP) or Madrid International Airport (MAD) + train ride
Bienvenidos! Upon arrival at Ronda train station, a private driver will greet you (please look for a sign reading "Acanela Expeditions"). Your driver will take you to the hotel, and you'll have the afternoon to settle in and get acquainted with the city.
For dinner, you'll feast on a traditional Spanish welcome dinner at one of the top local restaurants. Savor some of the finest dishes in Andalusia while sipping a glass of house wine. (Each evening, we'll dine at a different local restaurant, exploring all the flavors the region has to offer.)

Day 2: Cooking Class

Our first full day in beautiful Andalusia begins! We'll meet our guides in the hotel lobby at 10:45 a.m., then take our first cooking class. We'll learn about the extraordinary products of the Andalusian homeland (including wine, cheese, olive oil, and sherry vinegar), then learn to prepare a three-course meal of traditional Spanish starters, savory main dishes, and exquisite desserts. At the end of our class, we'll gather around the table to sample our mouth-watering creations.
In the late afternoon, we'll have free time to explore the city. Stroll across the Puente Nuevo Bridge, which connects the two sides of the town; gaze out at the distant rolling hills; enjoy a brief scenic hike; wander the local markets for hand-crafted goods. There's no limit to adventure.
For dinner, you'll unwind at a local restaurant of your choice, sampling beloved Andalusian fare with a glass of wine in hand.

Day 3: Cooking Class and Vineyard Experience

Start the day off right with a delicious breakfast. In the late morning, we'll set off on an authentic gastronomic experience complemented with mesmerizing views. We'll learn about the Slow Food movement and use local, seasonal ingredients to prepare traditional Andalusian dishes. For lunch, we'll feast on the dishes we've just made.
After lunch, we'll tour the vineyard, learning how wine is produced in the region and tasting various wines (including Andalusia's star product: sherry). Later, we'll return to Ronda for a free afternoon.
In the evening, you'll have the opportunity to find a local restaurant of your choosing and enjoy typical Spanish cuisine.

Day 4: Culinary Tour of Ronda

Fuel up with a nourishing breakfast! Later in the morning, we'll set off on an all-day culinary and cultural tour. We'll wander through the maze of narrow alleways, winding streets, and blossoming patios to find the locals' favorite tapas bars and artisan shops. We'll savor Andalusia's fine cheeses, hams, tapas, wines, and more. We'll learn more about the Slow Food movement and uncover the secrets of the region's culinary artisans and experts. (Lunch will be provided midway through the tour.)
After the tour ends, you'll have the rest of the afternoon to choose your own path. You can tour one of the city's many landmarks, hike magnificent trails, or relax in the city center.
In the evening, you'll take it easy over a relaxing dinner at a local restaurant of your choice.

Day 5: Olive Oil Experience

After breakfast, we'll visit one of the region's famous olive mills and taste some of the best olive oil in the world. Ronda is surrounded by extensive countryside that offers high-quality organic products, and in the whitewashed village of Grazalema, we'll learn how the town's biodynamic agriculture allows for the finest olive oil production.
In the evening, when we've returned to Ronda, you may choose another local restaurant and eat another delicious meal.

Day 6: Cooking Class

You'll enjoy breakfast, then meet up with the group for your final cooking class. During your last hands-on culinary lesson, you'll use the region's diverse ingredients — vegetables, grains, fruits, meats, seafoods — to prepare traditional dishes in a local chef's kitchen. By the lesson's end, you'll feel confident in your ability to return home with your newfound skills and create your own mouth-watering dishes for family, friends, and paying guests. Relax and reward yourself with a glass of sweet wine!
You'll spend the afternoon visiting a few more sights in Ronda. This magical town is a special place, and you'll never forget its breath-taking scenery and Old World charm.
In the evening, you'll enjoy a final dinner at a local restaurant of your choice, then pack your bags and get ready to fly home or continue to your next destination.

After breakfast, we'll say goodbye to beautiful Spain and head to the train station. After making a transfer or two, you'll arrive at the airport to return home.
