Upon arrival at Nairobi International Airport, meet your driver and guide and transfer to your hotel in Nairobi. Settle in and prepare for the adventure ahead of you!
Enjoy a tasty dinner at a local restaurant. Kenya is well known for their delicious African cuisine from hearty steaks to delicious vegetables and of course, Ugali.

Day 2: Flight from Nairobi to Masai Mara

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel before embarking on your journey into the heart of the Masai Mara.
After our morning drive, we will grab lunch and then depart for our first game drive. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is characterized with vast acacia-dotted plains cut by ox-bow lakes, spectacular escarpments where move ‘Out of Africa’ was acted. The animals of the Masai Mara are the star of the show, providing drama and intrigue against a backdrop of spectacular scenery. Spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) and you might notice a Masai Warrior standing on one foot herding hundreds of cow or shepherding goats and sheep holding a single stick or a spear, that’s their way of living.
At the end of the day, we will have a delicious dinner at the camp, as the sun sets enjoy the spectacular display of stars unlike anything you have ever seen.

Your full day in the Masai Mara Game Reserve will be focused on searching for big cats, and catching glimpses of the famous migration (depending on your travel time). During the game viewing remember to keep a sharp lookout, you may witness a dramatic hunt; a solitary leopard retrieving its kill from the high branches of an acacia tree or a herd of elephants protecting their young from predators.

Breakfast will be served at our lodge then board the safari vehicle and drive to visit Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake famous for its flamingo population estimated to be more than a million hence it is referred to as the ‘Birds Paradise’ by bird watchers and the rhino population. Arrive in time for lunch then followed by a much needed nap.
Depart for an afternoon game viewing and return back to the camp before sunset. In addition to the flamingos, the lake draws more than 450 species of birds.There are no elephants in the park but the other big five can be spotted including tree climbing lions. Large animals which strive in the dry land surrounding the lake such as Rothschild giraffe, Cape buffaloes, Waterbucks, Gazelles, Leopard and primates etc can be spotted as well at the park.

After breakfast, pack your bags, checkout, and we will depart to catch our flights back to Nairobi International Airport.
In the afternoon, have the option to visit the Elephant and Rhino Sanctuary or relax in the hotel for a Spa Day.

The expedition cost includes including boutique accommodation for all nights, all transport during the expedition, lecture and instruction materials from our expert guides, three meals per day, and all activities as listed on the itinerary. International Airfare is not included.

We always recommend packing as light as possible; however, the specific requirements for your tour will vary widely depending on where and when you are traveling.
