Welcome to Bali, one of the most popular destinations in Southeast Asia. To many the mere mention of this tropical paradise evokes the deepest feelings of excitement. Prepare yourself for an incredible experience as you explore this unique destination. After arriving at Denpasar International Airport and collecting your luggage, you will be greeted by your driver who will transport you to your hotel accommodation located in Nusa Dua, one of the top areas in Bali. In the evening, sit down at the comfortable restaurant at your hotel to enjoy a spread of delicious food featuring distinct dishes from around Indonesia. The chefs are experts at their craft and will prepare a delicious meal to welcome you to this beautiful island oasis. Following your dinner, you will have a free evening to relax before overnighting at your hotel.

Day 2: Bali Spiritual Journey

At approximately 8:00am meet your guide at your hotel lobby to depart for your first activity of the day. Experience a blessing and purification ceremony at an old Balinese temple, Tirta Empul. Later, meet with a Balinese shaman, where he or she will teach you about the spiritual traditions of the Balinese People - including Chakras (energy points along the central meridian of the body). In sanskrit, chakra means "wheel" or "circle" and is generally used to reference specific energy centers along the body. In total there are seven chakra points, although some system includes one or two extra.
Travel to the stunning Tegenungan Waterfalls and enjoy the green surroundings with fresh water that can be swum in. The waterfall includes varying highs that can be climbed after the descent down stairs to reach it. The falls also features a viewing point to the jungle and waterfall at the main entrance.
Afterwards, head to visit the famous Gunung Kawi Temple - one of the most beautiful in all of Bali, returning back to the hotel around 16:00pm to enjoy a free afternoon relaxing at the hotel or exploring Ubud Center (a short walk from the hotel).

At 8:00 am depart from hotel to meet one of the best chefs in Bali and start your traditional cooking class! Learn and experience the traditions of a culinary Balinese cooking, and visit the local markets at which all the locals shop for their food. Starting with ingredients from traditional markets and an organic farm in a traditional kitchen, participants learn to pick the freshest ingredients and spices to create their very own delicious Balinese dishes.

At 8:00am we will be picked up for a drive to Jatiluwih Rice Terrace, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Enjoy the morning breeze and continue to drive to Bedugul to visit Ulun Danu Temple in the highlands of Bali. The Bali highlands are home to some of the largest coffee and clove plantations in the area and have incredible mountains and scenery to enjoy. Here we will have a guided tour of the surrounding area, and learn more about how people live in this tranquil part of Bali.
In the afternoon, head to the South of Bali for our last stop of the day at Tanah Lot. The seaside temple of Pura Tanah Lot is one of seven sea temples around the Balinese coast and is probably the most famous and most photographed place in Bali. Tanah Lot temple, built sometime around the 16th century, sits on a large offshore rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide. According to the temple lore, poisonous sea snakes are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruders. After experiencing sunset at the temple we will continue to Seminyak (one of the best beach areas in Bali)

Spend the morning at your leisure: most people spend this morning enjoying the beautiful beach, shopping for souvenirs, or when available participating in the local baby turtle release in nearby Kuta (Note: this release is only announced 1-day in advance, so your guide will inform you if it is available the night before).
At 16:00pm this afternoon, we will depart for a special Balinese cultural experience, traditional dinner, and beautiful sunset. We will be driven to Uluwatu, a beautiful highland in the south of Bali. After a 45-minute drive, we will see the holy temple of Pura Uluwatu, an exquisite monument perched above the sea and situated on a headland at the westernmost tip of the peninsula. By 6:00pm, the epic Balinese Kecak dance performance starts. The performance tells the story of an eternal love tale between Rama and Shinta and the stunning sunset background will be the perfect complement to an unforgettable experience.

At 7:00am we will embark on a full day trip snorkeling to nearby islands. Our private driver and guide will arrive at the hotel to transfer us to the fast ferry as we head to a nearby Island to snorkel in the beautiful, crystal clear waters in a remote part of Bali, Indonesia. Depending on weather conditions, our snorkeling adventure will take us to one of the beautiful Islands off the coast of Bali - Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, or Nusa Ceningan are the three most common.
Upon our arrival to the Island, we will be outfitted with all the necessary equipment to snorkel in the amazing crystal clear waters of Bali. Commonly spotted in Bali are thousands of colorful fish, sea turtles, and Manta Rays (especially common at certain snorkeling locations) For those not wanting to snorkel, they can relax on the beautiful white sandy beaches, catching a bit of sun and enjoying the refreshing sea breeze.
In the afternoon continue the snorkeling adventure, the waters around Bali and all the surrounding islands (Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida, and Nusa Ceningan) have at least 247 species of coral and 562 species of reef fish.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at our hotel, our driver will arrive to transport our group to the airport for our international departure home. Please be sure to leave for the airport with plenty of time to get through security to board your flight home.
